The Moon

Only 200km away from my final destination in Iceland and 35km from reaching 20000km on the trip I decided to take some time off from cycling in Myvatn. I´ve been doing a lot of "nordic walking" the last couple of days through some amazing scenery. This is the moon! There is totally nobody around here at this time of the year and it´s very quiet in the guesthouse. Good to relax for a bit...

The wind has been very strong the last couple of days riding. Some days I couldn´t go any faster than 10km/h. But worth it once again. I think as far as scenery goes Iceland his simply the best on the tour. Better to leave you guys some pictures, it says more than words (but the real thing is even better offcourse). Thanks for the support people and I´m looking forward to see
everybody at home again.

    Hej Bas, what nice pics of Myvatn area. We were there also and where impressed of the moon landscape and the empty wide. I hope you feel good. Here in Germany is late summer / golden oktober.. If you like pass by on your way back in Berlin / Potsdam.
